As a researcher and policy program manager I streamlined research practices across the division at Caltrans.

My Role: Research manager

​I collaborated cross functionally across divisions at Caltrans to define research statements, submit research proposals packages and managed research contracts. 

​​​

Some of the contracts include the research with the universities such as Future of Mobility project with UC Davis. The findings contributed to the California Transportation Plan (CTP). I collaborated with university researchers, coordinated meetings, and ensured the timely delivery of research outputs.

I Identified and pursued funding for critical research needs and  successfully secured funding for over 10 research projects  totaling over $5 million dollars.

As part of my internal research efforts, I worked on defining project metrics across the division. I collaborated with subject matter experts to develop a report analyzing project metrics for various division-wide initiatives.

Another research project involves work outside the Department of Transportation, such as providing feedback on policy briefs from the California Air Resources Board. 

​

I have also coordinated to complete proposals for The Research and Deployment Advisory Committee at Caltrans.
